Mission and Vision

Mission
R2C2's mission is to support young people in Roseland at critical moments by building trusted relationships, stabilizing immediate needs, and coordinating support so they can achieve safety, stability, and opportunity and lead meaningful lives. We started R2C2 to address the unique needs of our community, and every day, we build relationships, coordinate services, and walk alongside our community's youth to create opportunities for their growth and success.

Vision
R2C2's vision is for a thriving Roseland where community members are safe, supported, and able to build meaningful, fulfilling lives. In turn, what works in Roseland informs and strengthens how other communities support young people. Pushing back against systemic inequities that entrench poverty and hold back human potential, R2C2 is taking action every day to create the flourishing community we know is possible.

Distinctive Approach
R2C2 is led by people with professional expertise and deep lived experiences supporting youth and families in the local community. Our long-term, holistic, relationship-based approach to services is a differentiator, as we meet children and families where they are and help them to navigate a variety of needed services. In our work, we build trust through relationships, respond to crises and stabilize immediate needs, coordinate support across systems, and strengthen community and influence systems. Our programs include housing and crisis stabilization, youth engagement and development, navigation and advocacy, and community partnerships and systems work.
"We want people to see the strength and aspiration of Roseland's youth, provide them with unwavering support, and join us in our mission to build a safe and thriving community on Chicago's south side."
